Amara Porto Living is a brand-new complex in the heart of Chania’s Old Town. Fully renovated, it offers a modern and cosy atmosphere, a few steps from the charming alleys, the local restaurants and the Venetian Harbour.
Three units share the first floor: two one-bedroom apartments looking over the Old Town, and a quieter studio at the back of the building. Each has its own balcony with a table and chairs, a bathroom with a glass shower cabin, and a kitchen with a hob, a small oven, a fridge, an espresso machine, a kettle, a toaster and everything else you need to cook. Fresh towels and linens are provided.

Wander through Topanas, among 17th- and 18th-century Venetian mansions, and you meet ornate doors, colourful facades, stone balconies and grand archways — jasmine and baking in the air, traditional music from hidden tavernas.
A walk along the Venetian Harbour is the way to take the measure of the city. The Egyptian Lighthouse watches over the fishing boats and the waterfront cafés. Nearby you can visit the Maritime Museum, the Archaeological Museum, the Etz Hayyim Synagogue and the Küçük Hasan Mosque, or taste local cheeses, olives and honey at the Municipal Market.
For the sea: Nea Chora, 2 km away, has a sandy beach and some of the best seafood tavernas in town. Agii Apostoli, at 4 km, is a set of quiet coves. Chrissi Akti, 5 km from the centre, is the organised beach with sunbeds, cafés and golden sand.

Very easy to find, close to the old town and city center. Very nice and comfortable bed and a very nice relaxation after a long walk through the day in the jacuzzi.

Apartment 1 and Apartment 2 look over Chania’s Old Town. The Studio sits at the back of the building and has no view — which also makes it the quietest.
Children over the age of 2 are welcome. A baby cot or crib is not provided, and the apartments are not suitable for infants under 2.
